TRAFFIC CONTROL SUPERVISOR'S
ASSOCIATION
BYLAWS
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA CHAPTER
NAME
The name of this organization shall be Traffic Control
Supervisor’s Association; a Nonprofit Organization.
NONPROFIT ASSOCIATION
This association is organized pursuant to the California
General Nonprofit Law, and does not contemplate distribution of
gains, profits or dividends to the members thereof.
PURPOSE
The TCSA is formed for the following Purposes:
- To provide
a means and environment for exchange of ideas and knowledge for
mutual benefit.
- Through
association, to keep abreast of the latest mechanical and
technical developments of materials, tools and equipment.
- To meet
periodically for the purpose of discussing subjects of general
or specific interest which may be traffic zone painting, curb
marking, traffic control signs, or general traffic control
problems.
OFFICERS
The officers of the TCSA shall be President, Vice President,
Secretary, Treasurer, two Directors, Past President, and one Vendor
Representative.
QUALIFICATIONS
Shall have been a regular member in good standing for a
continuous period of 24 months, with the exception of the Director
positions.
QUORUM
At any board meeting of the association, four board members
present at the time and place of such meeting shall constitute a
quorum for the transaction of business, provide that sufficient
notice of such meeting has been sent to each member in good
standing.
TERM OF OFFICE
The officers shall be elected annually for the term of one
(1) colander year. Each officer shall automatically be nominated
for the next higher position and may be challenged by nomination
from the floor by any regular member. Any floor nomination must be
confirmed with nominee prior to the election. The election will be
conducted and the results known at the December meeting. The
transfer of duties will be assumed at the next general membership
meeting.
